Senior Nutrition Assistance Program
Free, nutritionally balanced food baskets available for seniors 62 and older. Our program serves 25-50 families annually with meals specifically designed for senior health needs. Valid photo ID required for enrollment and pickup. These baskets will be avaialble on a first come first serve basis and given yearly on the 3rd Saturday of November for the Thanksgiving Holiday
Program Eligibility
Age Requirement
All participants must be 62 years of age or older to qualify for our Senior Nutrition Assistance Program.
Required Identification
Valid photo ID must be presented at registration and each pickup. We accept driver's licenses, state IDs, passports, and military IDs.
Income Guidelines
Our program is designed to help seniors who need nutritional support. While we don't have strict income requirements, we prioritize those with demonstrated need.
What's in the Basket
Fresh Produce
Seasonal fruits and vegetables rich in essential vitamins and minerals
Protein Sources
Quality protein options including lean meats, fish, beans, and legumes
Whole Grains
Nutritious bread products, rice, pasta, and cereals
Dairy Products
Milk, cheese, yogurt, or dairy alternatives for calcium and vitamin D
Pantry Staples
Shelf-stable items including canned goods, dried herbs, and cooking essentials
Special dietary options available for those with health restrictions (low-sodium, diabetic-friendly). Average basket value: $75-85.
How to Apply
Prepare Documentation
Gather your valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID) to verify your age and identity.
Visit Registration Center
Applications must be submitted in person at our community center. We cannot accept online or mail-in applications.
Complete Enrollment
Our staff will help you complete the necessary paperwork and explain program details.
Distribution
Distribution Date
Food baskets are distributed once yearly on the 3rd Saturday of November.
Pickup Window
Pickups available between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM only. Please arrive during this timeframe.
Verification
ID verification required at every pickup. The same ID used for registration must be presented.
In-Person Service
Recipients must pick up baskets in person.
